Miss Rodeo America Fashion ShowAnd on the third day, they danced. Today at the pageant, the contestants were up early as always, had breakfast with the judges, and then it was off to work! This rehearsal for the Fashion Show was critical because in just a couple of hours, there was no more rehearsing, just strutting their stuff in front of hundreds of people. There were staging issues, fashion problems, and missing outfits, but it all came together in the end, with a seamless performance for the judges, family, friends and sponsors of the Miss Rodeo America Pageant.
MRA-Fashion-Show-2014-(5)This was a very special performance for the Fashion Show, as it is the 60th anniversary for Miss Rodeo America. We saw over twenty past reigning queens, all the way from last year’s Chenae Shiner, to the second queen ever, Dallas George. They all were recognized and were able to walk the runway, and we hope to see them sometime again this week, as it was a very moving and special moment for the queens, their families, and the organization.
Each of the state queens for this year were able to showcase a new outfit from one of the sponsors, wore beautiful jewelry by Montana Silversmith, and showed off a new line of purses by Kippy. Boyfriend jeans are definitely back in style, with many of the girls were rockin’ those down the runway. They look great with heels, boots, flats or sandals, and are comfortable while doing anything and everything. Another style of jeans that are popular are Wrangler’s new skinny jeans, they are the softest, thinnest jean they have come out with yet! And boy, they look slimming on everyone! Again, we saw a lot of fringe, so that is one trend that we see sticking around for a little while. We hope the boyfriend and skinny jeans stick around as well, as they are perfect for a long week in Vegas.
MRA-Fashion-Show-2014One part of the Fashion Show was each state queens “fashion forward” outfit, and we saw amazing creativity for this segment. We saw a lot of red, so it seems that we should be looking out for some new red clothing while we are here. Each contestant was classy and held themselves extremely well on stage during this period, as it is always one of their favorite moments during the week.
Cowboy Lifestyle Network will be bringing you more fashion and behind-the-scenes photos from the 2015 Miss Rodeo America Pageant all week long, and make sure you check back throughout the week for updates on what the state queens are doing until the crowning on Saturday of the new Miss Rodeo America.
