2014 AIRCA Rodeo Schedule and Coverage

Written by

Cowboy Lifestyle Network presents the 2014 AIRCA Rodeo Schedule and Coverage. The AIRCA stands for the All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association. The AIRCA is a Native American organization which solely promotes Indian rodeos.

Throughout the year the organization sponsors a variety of local rodeos, most of them located in the southwestern region of the United States, such as, the state of Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. Certainly, each and every event plays a part in the rankings leading up to the (IIFR) International Indian Finals Rodeo; in which, the top performers compete for top prize money. To become a competitor in the IIFR Finals, a performer must have competed in at least 30 events throughout the year.
Prize money is awarded at every event and tallied on the All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association website. The top performers in this organization take home an annual payout in the range of $10k. While this is not as much as other organizations, it is enough to keep members coming back for more.
Standings are kept for a variety of events including: All Around, Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Ladies Break Away, Ladies Barrel Racing, Open Team Roping, Senior Break Away, Junior Barrel Racing, Junior Bull Riding, and Team Roping.

Meet the AIRCA

The All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association is headquartered in St. Michaels, Arizona. The All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association (AIRCA) was known as the All Indian Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in the past. For many years, the All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association has been holding events throughout the western part of the United States. With the ultimate goal of reaching the International Indian Finals Rodeo, many people of Indian descent have joined this organization. Even if they fall short of reaching the Finals, there are other benefits that make membership worthwhile.
The All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association works closely with several other organizations including the New Mexico Rodeo Association (NMRA) and Central Navajo Rodeo Association (CNRA).
