Not only did 2015 mark the date for the 61st annual night rodeo in Taylor, but also the date for which our country celebrates our independence. The Taylor 4th of July celebration was held at the Taylor Rodeo Park which included the flag raising ceremony, the firing of the anvil, barbecue, vendors, rodeo, dance, patriotic program, fireworks, Taylor 10K & 2-mile run and softball tournament.
For those of you that are not familiar with Taylor, Arizona, the city’s population is just a little over 4,000 people. However, do not let that fool you. The rodeo attracted over 10,000 guests from surrounding cities such as Snowflake, Pinetop, Show Low, and Holbrook to name a few. Because of its popularity in past years, 650 extra bleacher seats were installed at the Taylor Rodeo Park for 2015.
