Tejano singer and accordionist Michael Salgado brings his soulful sound to the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle on Saturday, August 31 at 7 p.m. Don’t miss his excellent performance!

Salgado first gained recognition in the mid-1990s. He’s credited with introducing the Norteno sound to younger generations of fans. Salgado recognizes acclaimed accordionist Raymond Ayala as an influence, according to his bio on All Music.

Salgado organized his backup band with his brothers on guitar and drums, adding bass player Joe Taguma. The group gained recognition in the mid-1990s with the single “Cruz de Madera.” Then, Salgado’s 1996 album En Concierto introduced the popular single “Sin Ella.” His hit “Mi Primer Amor” gained popularity in 1997. Salgado has been recognized with awards such as a Latin Grammy, Pura Vida, Premios Tejas, Tejano Music Award, and Billboard. His sound will leave you dancing, singing, and wanting more!
