Let us introduce you to our 2015 Gilbert Days Rodeo Queen and CHF Cowgirl – Charlotte Price! A resident of the great town of Gilbert, Charlotte is honored to represent the town of Gilbert, the Gilbert Promotional Corporation, and America’s Oldest sport of Rodeo!
Coming from a family that was not involved with horses, even as a young girl, Charlotte took it upon herself to pursue her passion with horses and has had them in her life since the first day she moved to Arizona over a decade ago. Charlotte started off with riding lessons learning to ride bareback on Arabian horses. She moved on to English and jumping lessons. She finally got her first horse which was a Mustang mare named Daizey when she was in middle school. To this day, Charlotte continues to enjoy being a part of the horse training process.
In 2009, Charlotte began to work with an established business in Gilbert, marketing, selling and riding horses. She assists in the horse evaluation process which includes riding horses to the local restaurant in town, or out in the desert and across the Salt River, to camping on the Mogollon Rim. All kinds of horses and many learning experiences later, Charlotte still loves riding many different types of horses. In early 2014, Charlotte began to ride on the Cowgirls Historical Foundation drill team and also participating in many of the community service events. This is where Charlotte continues to garner experiences and exposure to the wonderful world of being a Cowgirl and a Rodeo Queen. Charlotte’s advice is to “always remember what inspires you and never lose track of it”.
In summer of 2014, Charlotte began working for Gilbert’s very own Earnhardt family at their Earnhardt Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership. She currently works in an accounts receivable and title department and truly enjoys the challenging experience and of course working with the family, who are no strangers to the sport of rodeo. The Earnhardt family supports the Gilbert Days Rodeo so much; in fact, they came in as a rodeo sponsor for the 2015 year! “It is really so gratifying to work with a wonderful family like the Earnhardt’s. When I travel to different rodeos, it is so fun to be able to see the family and their friends out there on horseback, competing and living the lifestyle that myself and others are so privileged to have. It is so uncommon to be as lucky to not only share the same interests as your employer, but to have the opportunity to enjoy time with them outside of the workplace.”
