Having written hit songs for country superstars such as Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and more, Murphy exemplifies the many qualities required to be one of country music’s greatest songwriters!

“Healing Hearts through the power of music. Our annual festival showcases the songwriter who wrote the hits and tells the stories behind the song. At Live Life Songwriter’s Music Festival, we believe that music is a universal language that has the power to unite people from all walks of life.” -Live Life A Songwriter’s Music Festival

Joining David Lee Murphy on the headlining stage is two-time Grammy Award winner, Paul Overstreet. Having been inducted into the NSAI Songwriters Hall of Fame and the recipient of many ACM, CMA, & Dove Awards, Overstreet is no stranger to the business of music. With hit singles of his own, Overstreet has been named the BMI Songwriter of the Year 5 years in a row and has created hit songs for artists such as Randy Travis, Blake Shelton, Keith Whitley, George Jones, and more!

Welcoming Talented Individuals

Music Has Heart: Heartstrings Foundation

There is no doubt that music has the ability to soothe us during times of trouble and heal as we face life’s trials and tribulations. Live Life Songwriters Music Festival recognizes the importance and power of music in the lives of those who need it most and are proud to support the Heartstrings Foundation.

Dedication

Dedicated to supporting Veterans and actively serving military members and their families, the Heartstrings Foundation provides guitars to those who would like to integrate music and music therapy into their recovery. With six strings on a guitar, the Heartstrings Foundation has attributed meaning to each. The first five strings represent each branch of the military (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy,) while the sixth string, or “heartstring,” represents the loved ones of service men and women who have been affected by issues such as PTSD, suicide, addiction, and mental health struggles.

“At Live Life; A Songwriter’s Music Festival, we’re not just about putting on a great show. We’re also committed to making a positive impact in our community and beyond. DDP Worldwide comes together with Heartstrings Foundation to bring you this amazing one-day music festival on November 02, 2024 Money raised from this festival will help provide guitars to veterans and actively serving military members and families.” – Live Life A Songwriter’s Music Festival
