How the Finals Work
The PRCA started as a way to help riders living in districts or circuits across the country participate in rodeos. Citing the lack of opportunities for weekend riders to compete, the association created a series of rodeos that allowed both male and female riders to compete in local events. Those who scored the highest and won their rounds had the chance to go onto the finals. Hundreds of people compete each year, but only the top two from each circuit will head to Prescott Valley.
Things To Do
When heading to this PRCA event, make sure that you check out the Cowboy Lifestyle Network, Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers and Papa John’s Road Team, which will be on hand to document all the scheduled events. You’ll find fun things to do in the area before and after the rodeo finals, including gambling at the Yavapi Casino and spending some time outdoors at the Prescott Valley Recreation Area.
