Needless to say, rodeo is a true Texas tradition, however, when the cowboy or cowgirl in you wants to be impressed by some of the top competitors at one of the largest events in the state, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo should not be missed.

The SASSR will take place in San Antonio at the AT&T Center and the Freeman Coliseum grounds. This is a huge event with everything from live music, rodeo, bull riding, livestock shows, cultural exhibitions, vendors, food and everything in between! Texas, are you ready for a treat?!

The rodeo is a special part of the SASSR, while it takes up a large part of the event, it definitely isn’t the only thing going on. From team roping and breakaway roping to barrel racing, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding and more, the SASSR has it all. On top of your typical rodeo events, there are several additional events that you need to know about. There will be mutton busting, PRCA Xtreme Bulls, a Grand Entry, a calf scramble on top of all the other wonderful events going on around town.

If rodeo isn’t quite your style, then keep reading because there is something for everyone here. With both a livestock show and a horseshow going on in the same time frame, chances are you will find an event that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo also brings you a champion BBQ, Rodeo After Dark, a champion wine garden, and a western heritage parade and cattle drive.

If you are planning to attend the SASSR rodeo event in San Antonio, Texas, it is wise to check out the calendar of events online to plan your time wisely. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo spans across several weeks, and there are competitions each day. There are also fun events scheduled for the livestock show, the stock show and the horse show throughout the event. The SASSR is one rodeo event in Texas that you do not want to miss!
