Turquoise Circuit Announces Contract Personnel

Camp Verde, AZ – The contract personnel for the 2022 RAM Turquoise Circuit Finals Rodeo, presented by Bucky’s, has been selected by the Turquoise Circuit Board of Directors.

James Horcasitas will be on the microphone for the three-performance event in Camp Verde, AZ Nov. 4 & 5. Horcasitas, who announces’ rodeos in the Turquoise Circuit, including Prescott Frontier Days, and many others around the country will announce TCFR for the first time.

Mikey Jo Duggan will serve as the TCFR rodeo secretary; this is the second time Duggan will Secretary for the Turquoise Circuit Finals. Timers selected are Sherry Gibson and Lill Worthen, who are both veterans of the annual event.

Jeremy Willis and Tanner Resor will be working as Pickup Men to assist our cowboys and stock contractors during competition.

Gizmo McCracken will be working the barrel as the 2022 barrel man. Gizmo has been entertaining from the barrel for decades, is the 2017 Comedy Act of the Year and has worked eighteen PRCA Circuit Finals in nine of the twelve US based circuits.

“I’m honored to be selected to work the Turquoise Circuit Finals with this great group of personnel,” said Gizmo, “This makes the 10th different Circuit Finals we have been blessed to work.”

Cowboy protectors Nathan Jestes of Douglas, Wyo, and Cauy Kraut from Wittmann, AZ, will serve as bullfighters. Jestes is a two-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo bullfighter and has worked many other notable rodeo events to help keep bull riders safe during competition. Cauy, of Arizona and son of bull fighter Luke Kraut, who is a veteran of Turquoise Circuit Finals Rodeo bull fighting, is following in his fathers foot-steps with a selection to work the Turquoise Circuit Finals Rodeo.

During an action-packed weekend, the RAM Turquoise Circuit Finals brings in the top one-hundred rodeo athletes from Arizona and New Mexico into the Camp Verde region, competing for approximately $175,000 in prize money. 

Circuit cowboys are known as ‘weekend warriors,’ competing at about twenty rodeos across Arizona and New Mexico in the hope of earning a qualification spot at the TCFR and for the opportunity to vie for a chance to qualify into the RAM NFR Open, previously titled the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo. The TCFR is part of the circuit system of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The event will feature world champions, ‘weekend warriors,’ along with up-and-coming athletes looking to win a spot to compete at the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo. 

Every performance will include bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and bull riding.

The Turquoise Circuit is part of the circuit system devised by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Twelve sections make up the rodeo circuits in the United States. Rodeos and athletes in New Mexico and Arizona make up the Turquoise Circuit.
