PRCA Cowboys & Cowgirls

During the rodeo, PRCA cowboys and cowgirls from all over the country will compete in several events, including bull riding, steer wrestling, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, tie down roping, and barrel racing for a chance to win money on the road to the National Finals Rodeo. I love seeing all of the cowboys and cowgirls go out there and give it all they got. Their hard work and dedication is an inspiration. The Tucson Rodeo has a long and rich history starting in 1925 by a gentleman by the name of Leighton Kramer. He had to idea to take advantage of the Arizona weather by having a rodeo. Through the years, the event has grown and become an iconic Tucson tradition. Thousands of spectators come to the rodeo each year to watch the cowboys and cowgirls show off their skills over the course of nine days of competition.
