Cowboy Lifestyle Network brings Arizona’s favorite Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo to light in 2014 at the Parada del Sol Rodeo.
Thousands of people lined the streets of Old Town Scottsdale for the 61st Annual Parada Del Sol Parade. A favorite event among Arizonans, the Parada Del Sol Parade takes place on Scottsdale Road in Old Town.
This year, more than 130 horses and all kinds of floats, cars, horse-drawn carriages and more made their way from the start of the parade at Oak and Scottsdale to the finish at Scottsdale and Indian School.
The Scottsdale Arabian Horse show, Scottsdale Mounted Police, several radio stations, several marching bands, balloons, Chinese Dragons and even the Mayor of Scottsdale waved to the enthusiastic crowds on a Saturday morning.

Another highlight of the parade was the cattle drive, which was the first time that this event had taken place in 55 years. President of the Parada Del Sol, said that four generations of his family participated in the cattle drive.
After the parade was over, cowboys and cowgirls alike kicked up their heels at the after party where there was food, dancing, bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo and more. There were lots of booths where people could buy western gear including Justin Boots and Wrangler Jeans – the ultimate in cowboy gear.

The rodeo itself runs from Feb 27-March 2 and includes several different events. On February 27, the PRCA Champions Challenge Rodeo that will be nationally televised on CBS Sports is coming to Westworld in Scottsdale. The next day, the Scottsdale Pro Bulls will keep spectators on the edge of their seats, while the PRCA Pro Rodeo wraps up the weekend on March 1 and 2. When it comes to keeping the western ideal alive, few cities in the United States feel as passionately as Scottsdale does about their country roots. Luke Kaufman, famed country singer will be performing at the after-party as soon as the rodeo finishes.
Sponsors Coors and Pendelton are sure to keep the good times rolling during the rodeo, and the Cowboy Lifestyle Network will be there to capture all the action, excitement and fun.
