2014 Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek PRCA Pro Rodeo

Written by

Every year during the second week of March, the Queen Creek community holds an annual week-long PRCA Pro Rodeo for all cowboys and cowgirls alike! The Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Pro Rodeo is a genuine celebration of Queen Creek’s rural heritage and is a cultural centerpiece of a rather recent tradition in Queen Creek. The Cowboy Lifestyle Show, Ak-Chin Indian Community and Earnhardt Auto “Road Team” was there to capture all the fun!
As we rolled into 2014, Queen Creek celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a “Wear Pink Night” to support Cancer Awareness with London’s Legacy to kick off the rodeo and an Armed Forces Appreciation Day to end the weekend of PRCA performances.
While last year’s Roots N’ Boots performances witnessed one of the biggest rainstorms of the season, this year’s rodeo was a different story. The weather this year couldn’t have been more beautiful at Queen Creek’s Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre.

Cowboy Lifestyle Network always knows it’s going to be a good rodeo when legendary PRCA rodeo announcer, Dan Fowlie, is announcing a family friendly rodeo. Mr. Dan Fowlie is one of the nicest people you can meet on the rodeo circuit and truly keeps the crowds attention as he is accurately informed everyone on each contestant throughout the Queen Creek Roots N’ Boots Rodeo.
While, CLN’s favorite bull fighter, Luke Krout (of K4 Bucking Bulls) was also present doing what he does best, while he protects the contestants that are putting themselves on the line day in and day out for that number one ranked position.

Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association – PRCA’s Entertainer of the Year for an incredible twelve straight years in a row, John Payne, also known as the “One-Armed Bandit,” was there to entertain the Queen Creek Rodeo crowd throughout the weekend. His famous trademark of riding stunning animals along with carefully thought out choreography sets him apart from any other Wild West Shows in the world.
At the Roots N’ Boots rodeo in Queen Creek this year the One Armed Bandit & Company brought out their famous buffalo. Be sure to watch CLN’s exclusive highlights of this remarkable rodeo climax that reflects the values and traditions of the Western lifestyle.
In addition, Robbie Hodges who is America’s Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) favorite barrelman rocked the crowd with his comical personality. You never to know what to expect with Robbie Hodges, his entertainment capabilities should be valued as high as any comedy show—you simply can’t find his unique acts of entertainment any where else in the world.

Roots N’ Boots Rodeo Royalty were also in attendance of this amazing PRCA rodeo and even made their way into Earnhardt’s Gilbert Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Dealership on Val Vista and San Tan 202 in Gilbert, AZ. In fact, Earnhardt is the official Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Golden Concho Sponsors of the annual event.
As PRCA Rodeo contestants made their way to Queen Creek’s Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre, they first had to make sure that they had the right credentials to enter, such as, a back number, pass or PRCA card. Meanwhile, rodeo performances were spectacular at Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek. Here are the official winners of the 2014 Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Pro Rodeo (March 7 – March 9) results:
