2014 Tucson Rodeo La Fiesta de los Vaqueros

Written by

You can find one of America’s favorite rodeos at a rodeo ground located north of the Mexico—United States border and slightly south of The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.

The 89th annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo gathered a wide variety of fans from all over the world this year on the last week of February to watch some of the greatest cowboys and cowgirls compete to win in this PRCA Pro Rodeo sanctioned event.
While the rest of the country was battling the cold and severe weather hoping for a snow day, Tucson was in the mid-70s, which made for a beautiful setting in the Sonoran Desert.

As a matter of fact, the majority of students in Tucson get school off to come enjoy a day at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds as Arizona celebrates the cowboy. After all, who wouldn’t want to be apart of this remarkable Western heritage while getting spoiled by Tucson’s perfect weather?

This extraordinary rodeo had the privilege of having PRCA Rodeo Announcer, Wayne Brooks and Cowboy Church on Sunday with Coy Huffman of Coy Huffman Ministries.

The CLN, Ak-Chin Indian Community and Earnhardt Auto “Road Team” was there in the midst of the action-packed rodeo events throughout the duration of the rodeo and captured some of the most incredible rides and extreme rodeo wrecks.

Thankfully for the contestants, Justin Boots Sports Medicine Team was there on call to help and aid riders if an injury occurred.
Yet, the cowboys and cowgirls whom were able to battle it out amongst their competitors in order to rise above with the quickest time or best score, were titled the 2014 champions of the Tucson Rodeo – La Fiesta de los Vaqueros:
