2016 Buckeye Helzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo

The 87th Annual Buckeye Helzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo will be kicking off this weekend starting February 19-21, 2016. This event will feature top professional rodeo athletes and live entertainment from Daniel Castro and will be held at the South Buckeye Equestrian and Event Center located at 10300 South Miller Road, Buckeye, Arizona. 

Top rodeo athletes are expected to perform throughout the weekend. The first chance to get to witness these top athletes would be Friday morning the 19th, at 9 am. There will be a $5 admission fee that includes a cowboy breakfast.
The 1st Annual Buckeye Invitational Roping will begin Friday afternoon and will be available for local ropers from the Buckeye area to participate in the 2016 festivities.

The top 8 teams from this invitational roping will advance to join as an added attraction in the PRCA performances on Saturday and Sunday.

Gates open on Saturday and Sunday at 11 am. The pre-show begins at 1 pm and the events of Mutton Bustin’, Jr. Steer Riding, Pee Wee Barrel Racing will involve the youth the sport of rodeo.

The PRCA rodeo performances begin at 3 pm. The events include Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Riding.  

Ticket prices are Adults – $12; Kids $5 (5 and under Free); Vets & Seniors $8. Come out and Join us to celebrate the Hellzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo.
