2016 Gilbert Days Rodeo Royalty

Written by

The Gilbert Promotional Corporation (GPC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and our mission is to preserve our western heritage by hosting the Gilbert Days Rodeo. This is a Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Association sanctioned event and our title sponsor is Earnhardt Auto Centers (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Chevrolet).

This year the Gilbert Days Rodeo will be held at Welcome Home Ranch on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.. The GPC is very proud of all our past Rodeo Royalty and the many hundreds of hours toward community service they have provided under our platform of “Kicking Up Kindness”. This year’s Rodeo Gilbert Days Rodeo Queen is Jaime Stack. This year’s Gilbert Days Rodeo Teen Queen is Kennadee Riggs.

Let us introduce you to the 2016 Gilbert Days Rodeo Queen – Miss Jamie Stack! She was born and raised in the beautiful state of Arizona and has always called the East Valley “Home”. As a child, her mother shared her love of horses and taught Jamie the skills of English and Western riding discipline.

She fell in love with Western riding and found she had a heart for the sport of rodeo. So she took it upon herself to learn the ropes and become a rodeo queen. Ask well as being the Gilbert Days Queen, she is working towards a BA in Health Science, with plans to further her education at an Occupational Therapy school to later become an OT, and she has plans to work with children in a school setting.

Whether it is wrangling up kids for Mutton Bustin’ at a rodeo, teaching children dance, or helping a student’s educational growth, she has always had a heart for working with children. Our Gilbert Days Rodeo Queen is always on the watch for kind deeds since she is a firm believer in our platform, “Kicking Up Kindness” and loves being able to share all the kind stories she hears of Good Deeds in action. So remember to always “Kick Up Some Kindness” while traveling down the trail.

Saddle up and get ready for a fun ride with Kennadee Riggs! She is 15 years old, and a freshman at Queen Creek High School. Kennadee is the oldest of seven kids, and has three horses and a puppy. Church, family and extracurricular activities such as orchestra, student council, cheerleading, basketball, and snow-skiing are some of Kennadee’s favorite things. School is one of her priorities and she is enrolled in all Honors Classes.

Her family roots run deep in rodeo. Her great, great grandfather, Harry Jacob Frost, is in the Legacy Quarter Horse Hall of Fame, and her great grandmother was the 1950 Reno Rodeo Queen. This is where the family lines of rodeo queening all began. Since then, she has had aunts become Miss Rodeo Arizona, and Miss Rodeo USA.

Kennadee has grown up coming to the Gilbert Days Rodeo every year to watch family take part in it. Her mother, and three aunts have represented the Gilbert Rodeo as royalty, and she has begun to fill those big boots. Kennadee was the 2011 Gilbert Days Legacy Rodeo Missy, and is currently reliving that dream as the 2016 Teen Queen. She continues to share her mother’s platform from her rodeo queening days, called Kickin’ Up Kindness. She encourages rodeo fans all around the state to perform kind deed and report them back to her.

Kennadee has grown up competing in 4-H activities, Western Pleasure, and local gymkhanas. She currently teaches horse lessons and hosts horsemanship camps in her own backyard. She is also an aspiring member of the Cowgirls Historical Foundation, a non-profit equestrian drill team that performs at rodeos and community service events. Kennadee is saddled up and riding towards big dreams.
