From November 11 through 13, Western sports fans are invited to attend the 2016 Gilbert Days Rodeo in the scenic Arizona community. The 38th annual event promises all of the action and excitement that fans have come to love in traditional American Western sports. Witness some of the top-rated cowboys and cowgirls from across the country compete in an array of popular contests at the expansive Welcome Home Ranch. Tickets are available online and at the gate.
The Gilbert Promotional Corporation (GPC) was established in 1978 by local businessmen and ranchers in an effort to keep Western heritage and traditional family values alive. In addition, the group endeavored to promote their community. In addition to the annual rodeo, GPC continues hosting a number of Western events that include a GCPRA barrel racing competition, a GCPRA roping competition, the Gilbert Days Lil’ Dudes Rodeo, the annual Pony Express and the Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. All equestrian activities and Western competitions took place in Gilbert Rodeo Park until 2011. The Welcome Home Ranch now serves as the event location. The venue also provides spectacular views of the San Tan Mountains.
