2016 PBR BFTS: Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic

When most people think of rodeos, they automatically think of such states as Texas and Oklahoma. However, for those cowboys and cowgirls who have ventured to the Pacific Northwest, they know Oregon is one of the lesser-known hotbeds of professional bull riding. However, when the PBR BFTS Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic comes to the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene on October 1-2, fans of this exciting sport will be ready for plenty of great action. With starting times of 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday, fans can be guaranteed to have a weekend full of thrills and spills.
Who’s Scheduled to Compete?
As if the anticipation for this event couldn’t get any bigger, fans will be thrilled to know that the PBR BFTS Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic will have in attendance the top 35 bull riders in the world, making this one of the tour’s most competitive events. Along with reigning world champion J.B. Mauney, others who will be in Eugene include young phenoms like Derek Kolbaba and Jess Lockwood, both of whom are in contention for Rookie of the Year honors. However, to be sure the young guns have some competition, riders such as Nevada Newman and Wallace de Oliveira plan on giving it all they’ve got both nights.
