Like most of the nation’s great rodeos, the Ellensburg rodeo has a rich and varied history. As only just a small event in 1923 with only a few competitors, the rodeo has grown over the past 93 years into one of America’s Top 10 rodeos. Thanks to the hard work of local volunteers year after year, it’s no wonder some of the world’s top rodeo athletes mark this PRCA Pro Rodeo on their calendars as one of their must-attend events. With prize money exceeding $400,000, this year’s competition is sure to bring out the best in everyone. Event Coverage To showcase just how special the Ellensburg rodeo is to fans in Washington, coverage of the event is expected to be as big as ever this year.
