2016 Wrangler National Patriot – American 300 Africa Memorial Day Tour Day 3

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]“On your mark. Get set. Go!” 0730 was not spent running on my own this morning. The Boulder Boulder 5k was an event I didn’t know was on my bucket list. Thomas, Robi, and I ran alongside our military men and women through the African desert in a shadow race taking place back in the states. If I told you I completed the race with ease, I would be lying. However, having Staff Sergeant Bowman as my running buddy helped push through to the finish line! Which ended with me laying in the red African sand ‘sand angel’ style.
The PT continued later in the afternoon with a volleyball tournament. I am good at a lot of things, but volleyball is probably on the list right next to basketball, runway modeling, or any other activity where the average height is above 5′ 1″. Good news: volleyball is a team sport! What do two cowgirls, a bull fighter, guitar player, country singer, and a bull rider all have in common? …none of them play volleyball. Team WNPT may not have won any games tonight, but we had some good rallies going and made it to double digits on the scoreboard each game!
This tour is about thanking the men and women out here fighting for our freedoms back home, and to their families for the sacrifices they make as their loved ones are away. I want to thank these men and woman for not only that but for the friendships we have done and for welcoming us and making the Wrangler National Patriot Tour part of their family. Long live troops!
‘Click on and hang on’ as the WNPT continues their #bucketlist.
