The Ram 1500 saw a redesign last year, but without the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel option. With an expected release of fall 2019, the 2020 RAM 1500 brings back a stronger V6 3.0-liter EcoDiesel option, according to an Edmunds review. This will generate more power and torque to support higher tow ratings than before. The 2020 engine will be rated to tow up to 12,560 pounds, the highest diesel tow rating in the class, according to Edmunds. The EcoDiesel should be available on all trim versions.
