The latest Lexus GX comes onto the scene in early 2024. Check out this functional and stylish workhorse soon at any Earnhardt Auto Centers location, especially Earnhardt Lexus in Phoenix.
According to a review in Car and Driver, Lexus unveils a timely redesign for this mid-size, off-road SUV. With an all-new platform and updated powertrain, the latest GX has an exterior inspired by the Land Cruiser and “looks like it will age well,” Car and Driver notes. It also offers twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 powertrain, producing 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, with towing capacity of up to 8,000 pounds.
The Lexus GX is also the first-ever in the Overtrail grade with standard 33-inch all-terrain tires and 18-inch wheels, providing lots of muscle for off-roading. An adaptive suspension system provides enhanced wheel articulation. Add in the crawl-control feature and selective drive modes, and this vehicle should be ready to travel almost anywhere.
Inside, the GX provides luxurious creature comforts like faux or genuine leather upholstery, says Car and Driver. Premium and Luxury trim options feature three rows of seats, with space for up to seven with a bench or six with two second-row captain’s chairs. Extras include a cooled storage bin, a heads-up display and a digital key fob.
All models include a 14-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a separate 12.3-inch digital gauge display that can be reconfigured based on the driver’s preferences, says Car and Driver. Most models include six USB-C ports inside, and a wireless charging pad is an optional add-on. A 10-speaker stereo system is a standard offering or upgrade to a 21-speaker system with surround sound.
Lexus also equips the GX with driver-assistance features, including automated emergency braking, pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise control with lane-departure warning.
The 2024 Lexus GX will be assembled at the Tahara plant in Japan and is expected to go on sale in early 2024. Take a test drive soon at Earnhardt Lexus!
