The Colorado’s modern yet classic interior is sure to impress, said Car and Driver in a review, noting the vehicle’s comfortable interior and seating support. The second row is “one of the most livable back seats in the class,” added Car and Driver. For cargo, the vehicle also offers a lockable storage box in the tailgate.

The review calls the Colorado “a true workhorse” and a “go-anywhere, do anything off-roader.” The medium-sized body makes parking and urban driving easier, too. For off-roading, the Colorado sports hydraulic bump stops and over a foot of ground clearance. The ZR2 Bison model provides 12.2 inches of ground clearance and 35-inch tires, the largest in the mid-size pickup market.

With its 310-horsepower, turbo 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, the Colorado puts out more power than many of its rivals, said Car and Driver. During a test drive, the Colorado ZR2 reached 60 miles per hour in 6.8 seconds and cleared the quarter-mile in 15.5 seconds at 88 miles per hour.

Standard safety features include forward-collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, said Car and Driver. The backup camera provides a view of the hitch, allowing drivers to align the hitch with a trailer. Optional safety features can be added, including adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera system.
