When the July 4th holiday comes around in Utah, cowboys and cowgirls all know there will be great rodeo action as well.  Such is the case with the 82nd Annual Oakley Rodeo and 4th of July Celebration, which is expected to draw thousands of fans as it does each year.  Scheduled to start June 30th and finish up on July 4th, fans will have several days to enjoy the PRCA Oakley Rodeo with friends and family.  Whether it’s enjoying the various events or simply enjoying the sights and scenery of Oakley, UT, this year’s event is poised to be bigger and better than ever.
Media Coverage
Since this rodeo is one of the biggest events in Utah, the media coverage will be extensive.  As is the case with any major rodeo, the Cowboy Lifestyle Network will give fans an exclusive look at the behind-the-scenes preparation, as well as great interviews with many of the top competitors.  And along with coverage from CLN, additional coverage will come from the Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers, and Papa John’s Road Team.
Special Events
As is always the case with the Oakley Rodeo in Oakley, UT, there will be plenty of special events to keep fans excited throughout the event.  Whether it’s the fireworks show, kick-off breakfast, car show, parade, or the Special Needs rodeo, there’s sure to be something for everyone.  And for those wanting to get in a good workout, they can participate in the 5K run, which always has plenty of participants.  And finally, the Oakley rodeo will of course feature the crowning of a new Rodeo Queen, which is always the highlight of this annual event.
Featured Charities
Along with plenty of great rodeo action each night, the PRCA Rodeo in Oakley, UT is known for helping a number of local charities.  Among the most popular is the Tough Enough to Wear Pink, which benefits cancer patients and research.  In addition to this, the rodeo also helps other charities that benefit military veterans as well as local organizations such as food banks and other organizations.
Come Visit Oakley
While rodeo fans flock to Oakley for the great PRCA action, there’s also plenty of other reasons to enjoy a visit to Oakley.  Established in 1853, the area is known for being a classic western town, with many local shops and other attractions to catch people’s attention.  With so much to offer, paying a visit to Oakley for the 82nd Annual Oakley Rodeo and 4th of July Celebration is well worth the trip.
