88th Annual Buckeye Helzapoppin' PRCA Rodeo

The 88th Annual Buckeye Helzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo is set to rock Arizona this weekend starting February 17-19, 2017. This event will feature top PRCA Pro Rodeo cowboys, cowgirls, and fan favorite Rodeo Clown and Barrel Man Mr. “Hollywood” Don Yates and will be held at the South Buckeye Equestrian and Event Center.

Some of the best rodeo athletes make the Buckeye Helzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo a top destination on their rodeo list during the month of February. Why you might ask? Well the weather is beautiful this time of year in the Valley of the Sun. Even if it rains, this show goes on, as the rodeo arena is covered, making it for a special experience.
The first chance to get to watch these rodeo stars will be taking place with a Slack on Friday morning the 19th, at 8am. There will be a $5 admission fee that includes a cowboy breakfast.  In addition, the 2nd Annual Art Arnold Invitational Team Roping will be taking place. Gates open at 1:00pm each day and will be available for local ropers from the Buckeye area to participate in the 2017 action.
The top 8 teams from this invitational roping will advance to join as an added attraction in the PRCA performances on Saturday and Sunday.  
Gates open on Saturday and Sunday at 11 am. The pre-show begins at 1 pm and the events of Mutton Bustin’, Jr. Steer Riding, Pee Wee Barrel Racing will involve the youth the sport of rodeo.  If you want to enter all you need to do is call 623-691-6900
The PRCA rodeo performances begin at 3 pm. The events include Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. Don’t forget, Tough Enough To Wear Pink Day is taking place on Saturday, February 18th!
Ticket prices are Adults – $12; Kids $5 (5 and under Free); Vets & Seniors $8. Come out and Join us to celebrate the 2017 Hellzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo.
