Get ready for some great music under the stars during a performance by accordionist Albert Zamora. He will perform in the outdoor Amphitheater at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle on Saturday, May 6. Singer, songwriter, and accordionist Zamora blends different musical styles, including Norteno, Cajun, blues, funk/punk, and rock, during his shows. He’ll get the audience up and dance and interact with the crowd, too.
Music has been part of Zamora’s life since early childhood. According to an article in the Corpus Christi Caller-Times newspaper, “Music a family tradition for Zamoras,” he spent much of his childhood with his parents and siblings around a campfire, singing songs and playing instruments.
At age 4, Zamora started singing at church festivals, parties, and events. As a child, he also learned to play the trumpet, piano, bass guitar, and accordion. Over the years, Zamora formed and played with different bands, incorporating many different musical styles, such as rock, jazz, funk, and pop. Today, Zamora has his own kids who also enjoy singing and playing instruments, so his family’s tradition of making music has come full circle.
Tickets for his show are available online and are $10 for adults and $8 for kids. Bring blankets and low-back lawn chairs for this outdoor show. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m.
