Awesome! A fitting word to describe this concert. The audience was a mix of generations, the youngest ranging from pre-teens all the way to fans older than 60. It was fascinating to watch how various fans of both entertainers related to their music.
Del Rey’s opening song, Cruel World, was brilliant. The song is the first song on Del Rey’s newest album entitled Ultraviolence. Her performance flowed beautifully with a sense of comfort and elegance.
Del Rey’s sound encompasses many eras of pop culture, some dating back to the 1950’s and 1960’s Americana. Her music evokes real emotions, as she is inspired and influenced by well-known music artists such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Amy Winehouse, Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, and Joni Mitchell to name a few. Del Rey even includes Courtney Love as a major influence.
