The American Contender Tournament 2023  

Hundreds of cowboys, cowgirls, and animal athletes compete for coveted tickets to The American Western Weekend and the chance to compete against rodeo’s best at The American. Only four will get to advance to the Regional Finals. There will be three qualifying events leading into The American Rodeo 2023. The American Western Weekend

Get ready for the American Western Weekend, a one-of-a-kind, a multi-event competition consisting of four action-packed nights at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Featuring eleven western sporting disciplines and the best music entertainment to date. The western sporting disciplines include reined cow horse, cutting, reining, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, bull riding, breakaway, bareback riding, barrel racing, and team roping. This inaugural event brings together the Top 5 professional horsemen in cutting, reined cow horse, and reining who will face off in a competitive format for a $1 million prize.
