To whom it may concern:
As the weather turns a little cooler in Arizona, the rodeo season starts to wind down, we look back on 2016 and start looking forward to the GCPRA Finals in November at the Avi Casino in Ft Mohave, AZ. It has been a whirlwind of events in 2016. Everything started as usual for us setting big goals and
The guys are pushing hard to move up a spot or two before the finals. John is going in 3rd, Shane 5th and Brandon 6th in the Bareback riding. Chance is sitting 5th in the bronc riding with a shot at the year end, and it’s pretty close 1-6 sixth place in the bronc riding right now $700 is all the separates everyone from that #1 spot. Looks to be good watching this year in the bronc riding at the finals.
Carter Williams was selected by the cowboys to pick up and keep all the bronc riders safe. He will be riding a pretty paint horse that got selected for the NFR pick up horse sale this year in December. Jason took a break from riding Bareback horse’s to concentrate on forming the 232 Ranch Stock, joining forces with Scott Mcdaniels of /M rodeo for our first year of providing bucking bulls at rodeos.
The 232 Ranch had a 7 bulls selected by the cowboys for the GCPRA finals this year, we are pretty excited about it in our first year of providing stock. It’s been pretty cool to see us working in all facets of the rodeos this last year, from competing, to working with rodeo committees, and providing stock has proved to be a big step.
For the group as a whole, I believe we are trying hard to stick to our mission of doing what we can to help promote rodeo and
Kicking the year off with Brandon and Brittinie’s wedding, which proved to be a wild time. From Chance finally making the decision to propose to his girl, getting a ring, and then trying to figure out how he would propose to her, which he did at Sonoyta. In August we helped with a Bareback and Bronc riding school, got to help some young up and comers start their career. The GCPRA stepped up to help promote the future of rodeo by awarding the top student with
We have had a few young guns coming out and wanting to learn, Cody Collet is on the verge of qualifying for his first GCPRA finals in the bareback riding. We are hoping for a bright future for him in rodeo. For myself speaking on behalf of this family that has been formed from a passion and love for rodeo, this has been a year to remember. I’m excited to see how the guys perform at the finals, how our bulls buck, and how the dust settles on the year in Fort Mohave.
Best Regards,
Jason Minic
