Live music, wine tasting on tap at Arroyo Grille in January

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Arroyo Grille at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club hosts two great events in January – live music by two guitarists and a beer tasting. Don’t miss the fun!
Musicians Mitch Harrell and Terrance Ragains bring their sounds to Arroyo Grille on Saturday, January 13. Bluegrass musician Mitch Harrell played in a band with his father, bluegrass pioneer Bill Harrell, until Mitch signed his contract with Pinecastle Records and released two albums. Terrance Ragains is a guitarist who performs with Guitars del Norte, a group with rock, country, blues and bluegrass sounds. Come hear these two talented musicians blend their styles!
The two perform on the patio from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on January 13. While you’re enjoying their show, take advantage of the Arroyo Grille’s full menu, including the Saturday prime rib special for $22. Limited quantities are available – get there early!
Come back on Thursday, January 18, for a beer-tasting event offered from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Cost is $5 per person for five tastings, served at Arroyo Grille’s outdoor bar for guests age 21 and older. January’s tasting features selections from California-based Lagunitas Brewing Company. Bring your appetite for the Thursday dinner deal — a specialty burger and fries for just $12.
Arroyo Grille hosts different beer-tasting or wine education events each month, giving guests the opportunity to sample specialty beverages or learn more about fine wine. Upcoming beer tastings will be held on Thursday, February 15 and Thursday, March 15. Wine education classes will be featured on February 7 and March 7, both Wednesdays, with host Jeff Douglas from Southern Glazer Wine and Spirits. These sessions offer an excellent opportunity for a night out with pals or a date night!
Arroyo Grille is located at 48456 W. Highway 238 in Maricopa. It’s open on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 6 a.m. until last golfer and Wednesday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information or call-ahead seating, contact Arroyo Grille at 520-426-6832. Make sure to come by for these special events![/vc_column_text][vc_gmaps link=”#E-8_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”][vc_column_text]

After a few years, she left New York in the rearview mirror and returned to her home state, taking a reporter job at the *Apache Junction Independent*. She had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of cowboy personalities for an article she wrote for the *Scottsdale Independent* about the history of DC Ranch and its roots as a working ranch. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories. She’s dedicated to ethical journalism and accurate reporting, which shines through in her storytelling.
