Barnes PRCA Rodeo livestock headed to 2016 RAM Great Lakes Circuit Finals and 2016 WNFR

The top ranked rough stock cowboys in Pro Rodeo selected Barnes PRCA Rodeo livestock for both the 2016 RAM Great Lakes Circuit Finals (GLCF) in Louisville, KY on Nov. 10-12 and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) in Las Vegas Dec. 1-10. Twenty-three head including bucking horses, bulls and saddle horses will be featured during GLCF later this month.
“Your percent of placing on a Barnes’ horse is very good,” replied Tim O’Connell, 3X WNFR Qualifier and the 2016 RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo – Bareback Champion. “Their horse power is at the top end of the circuit finals.” O’Connell from Dubuque, Iowa is currently ranked number one in the 2016 PRCA World Standings.
The Rafter B Bar brand is well-regarded and has consistently been represented at every RAM Great Lakes Circuit Finals Rodeo since 1979. Barnes PRCA Rodeo was at the forefront when the rodeo industry developed the regional circuit system for contestants.
“It is truly an honor for the contestants to vote our livestock into the circuit finals. Last year our horses helped Tim cash a paycheck in every round,” stated Marty Barnes, owner of Barnes PRCA Rodeo. “This year our string of bulls headed to Louisville were all born and bred on the ranch,” he continued.
Notably, Saddle Bronc mare Red Horse Crossin’ will make a dual appearance at the GLCF and the WNFR. Last year in Las Vegas, she disqualified both her riders and was judged the best horse of the performances in Round 3 and Round 8. Barnes said, “Cowboys look forward to drawing her for the opportunity to win big and she gives a solid performance.”
Barnes PRCA Rodeo continues to be in an elite class of Pro Rodeo Stock Contractors. They are one of only two firms across North America selected to provide livestock for every National Finals Rodeo, since its inception in 1959.
