Bullfighters Only Barrett Jackson Invitational 2019

Scottsdale, Arizona-
For the first time ever Bullfighters Only is coming to Barrett Jackson Car Auction 2019. Bullfighters Only are whipping out all the stops and are bringing you ten of their top freestyle bullfighters to give you the best, man vs. beast show.  BFO’s Founder, Aaron Ferguson is excited to be a part of Barrett Jackson, according to a recently published article regarding the event.

“We are very excited to be a part of the legendary Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction,” said BFO’s founder, Aaron Ferguson. “Presenting our sport to new audiences is what we are all about. The combination of Barrett-Jackson and BFO should prove to be the perfect fit.”

The bullfighters will have up to 60 seconds to gain as many points possible. A perfect score is 100-points but bullfighters have the opportunity to earn up to 50 extra points by exhibiting style and control while maneuvering around and jumping over the fighting bull. The bull, bred for this type of fight, can also tally up to 50 points for its speed, aggressiveness and willingness to stay engaged in the match.

If you are new to the sport of Freestyle Bullfighting, let us lay it out for you. Everyone is familiar with the Mexican fighting bulls, Freestyle Bullfighting is nothing like that. In fact, the bullfighters are at a disadvantage being that they are going up against a 1,000 pound animal with minimal protection. A bullfighter’s job at a rodeo is to protect the rider from getting hurt after he comes off the bull, our friends at BFO took it a step further and made a competition out of it.

One of their featured fighters,  Andres Gonzalez, is sponsored by one of our very own local businesses, WSM Auctioneers, check them out if you haven’t already!

You can catch the action every night at 7:30 pm at the WestWorld Equidome in Scottsdale. You can get your tickets ahead of time by clicking the banner below. Make sure to follow Cowboy Lifestyle Network as we cover the event live on Facebook and Instagram!
