William F. Harrah began the Harrah’s brand by opening a bingo hall in Reno in 1937, and today the Bingo Hall at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino has been bringing players into the 21st century with all the latest and greatest bingo technology for over 20 years. In fact, the Bingo Hall at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino is the only bingo hall active in over 40 Caesars Entertainment, Inc casinos across the country including Las Vegas.
Letters and numbers are still called out, live, by a main caller, which has not changed since 1937. Players now have a choice between the original way of marking the winning box, or by purchasing an electric unit where the winning numbers are automatically marked. The days of using big round cages full of little wooden balls are over!

Electronic units are available for purchase in a variety of packages. Winning letters and numbers are displayed clearly on the electronic units which are technically programmed to make the game even more fun! For players in the vintage mood however, the original paper pads of games can still be used with the multi-color and themed inked daubers.

We interviewed Matthew Kern, Manager of Bingo, who stated, “We’ve created a midday session called Happy Hour Bingo! We partnered with Food and Beverage to offer special food and beverages menus during Happy Hour Bingo.” By adding new menus and refreshing the overall environment, players are enjoying the new Happy Hour sessions. So not only can you enjoy Bingo electronically or traditionally, but now you can also enjoy an array of happy hour favorites such as sliders, nachos, margaritas and daiquiris, to name a few. These goodies have been priced accordingly during this time frame only.

What differentiates the Bingo Hall at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino from their competitors? Matthew Kern explains, “Our brand and casino business is Bill Harrah. What he stood for in creating this business is really about customer service. He was always driving that home. It’s become the culture of what differentiates us from our competitors”.
Come out and play for Happy Hour Bingo and enjoy the fun!
