If you’re looking for a great time with friends, Bowl & Brew happens every Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Ten Pins Down, the top-notch bowling facility at UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle. Bowl & Brew admission is $10 per person and includes two hours of bowling and shoes, plus beverage specials.

Bowl & Brew offers these following beverage promotions; six Budweiser bottles in a keepsake Captain America beer bucket for just $12 or a pitcher of your choice of beer is also $12. Ten Pins Down combines the audio-visual capabilities of a hip nightclub with the latest in bowling fun from Brunswick to create a one-of-a-kind experience. With 16 standard lanes and eight VIP lanes, there’s plenty of room for everyone.

Bowl & Brew is in the VIP section of Ten Pins Down and the entrance looks like you are entering a nightclub. Drapes from ceiling to floor and shear, pinned-back room dividers are lit up in green fluorescent lighting, making it a top-notch nightclub entry. There are four bowling lanes on each side of the room fitted with comfortable leather living room couches and loveseats. The guest services team are fun and very accommodating while greeting guests and assures each guest is aware of what Bowl & Brew has to offer them. Service at its best!

The two separate party rooms, VIP rooms, have large flat video screens that provide Karaoke and vintage video games that can be played, like Mario Brothers, guests can also play a game of Jenga and Beer Pong.

“Bowl and Brew has had a great response and things get busy on Friday nights around 10 p.m.” said Dan Terry, director of entertainment operations. “This event serves up club-style bowling along with festive, party-style games for guests over 21.”

Carolyn SostromCarolyn Sostrom is a long-time Arizona resident who loves desert sunsets, warm weather, Zumba, and the Western lifestyle. She attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale and then Arizona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Similarly to the protagonist in *The Devil Wears Prada*, Carolyn moved to New York City right after college. She started working for the fashion magazine company Conde Nast but never transitioned to the dark side. After a few years, she left New York in the rearview mirror and returned to her home state, taking a reporter job at the *Apache Junction Independent*. With over 30 years of freelance writing experience, Carolyn especially enjoys writing about community events and profiling individuals who are making a difference in their communities. She had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of cowboy personalities for an article she wrote for the *Scottsdale Independent* about the history of DC Ranch and its roots as a working ranch. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories. She’s dedicated to ethical journalism and accurate reporting, which shines through in her storytelling.
