Calgary Stampede 2018

While most people associate cowboys and cowgirls with the wild west of the United States, the fact is there are plenty of Canadian cowboys and cowgirls as well. This is especially true in Calgary, which just happens to be the site of the Calgary Stampede, widely considered to be one of the world’s most exciting and competitive rodeos. Billed as The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth, this rodeo extravaganza is always one event that rodeo fans across Canada and the world look forward to each year. Offering more than $2 million in prize money, the 10 days of action from July 6-15 will feature hundreds of the world’s top rodeo competitors, along with in-depth media coverage from the Cowboy Lifestyle Network, Ak-Chin Indian Community and Earnhardt Auto Centers Road Team.

Scheduled Events

As is always the case with the Calgary Stampede, there will be plenty of great events that are sure to make The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth as entertaining as always. Among the rodeo events fans can look forward to are:

• Barrel racing
• Tie-down roping
• Steer wrestling
• Saddle bronc
• Bull riding
• Bareback riding
  And along with the non-stop action of the rodeo events, there will be plenty of other activities that will appeal to cowboys and cowgirls of all ages. These will include a parade and plenty of live music for fans to enjoy, which will include performances from the Stampede Showband, as well as various local and national artists performing on the Coca-Cola Stage and the Nashville North stage. And for those cowboys and cowgirls who are just waiting for their talents to be discovered, there will also be a Talent Search competition, where the next great singing star is sure to be found.

Rodeo History

Started in 1912, the Calgary Stampede is one of the world’s oldest and most beloved rodeos. Now viewed not only as a rodeo, but also as a 10-day celebration of western heritage, culture, community spirit, and values, the Calgary Stampede has continued to grow bigger and better each and every year. Because of this, it’s now a must-see rodeo for not only the most serious of rodeo fans, but also the casual fan who’s always wondered about the mystique surrounding the Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth.

Aaron went to Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, AZ, then to the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, where he received a Bachelor of Science after creating his own major. This unique course of study wove together Business Marketing, Geography, Sociology, Philosophy, and Religion.

After graduating from the University of Arizona, Aaron joined CLN in its nascent stages, contributing to its growth and development over the past decade. As COO, Aaron manages operations, using AI to streamline processes and analyze data, ensuring CLN remains a leading voice. With expertise in business development, he innovates and cultivates client relationships, supporting CLN’s exponential growth.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Aaron values his faith, family, and friends, which are the cornerstones of his life. This personal foundation, combined with his professional expertise, makes him a trusted and authoritative voice in the western lifestyle community.

Aaron’s commitment to philanthropy is the bedrock of his personal ethos.
