Pack those bags because we are headed to “The Great White North” for the highly anticipated Calgary Stampede! With roots dating back to the 1880s The Calgary Stampede is a 10-day celebration donning dazzling parades, gravity-defying midway rides, impressive agricultural displays and presentations, high-energy chuckwagon racing, beautiful First Nations exhibitions, and of course, rodeo! Proudly boasting the title of “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth,” The Calgary Stampede draws in over one million visitors per year, earning its spot as one of the world’s largest, most famous, and richest rodeos.

The Rodeo

The crown jewel of The Calgary Stampede is its legendary rodeo. With a staggering prize pool exceeding $2.17 million, it’s no surprise that the world’s top cowboys and cowgirls make their way to Alberta each year, eager for their shot at rodeo stardom. Spectators are in for a treat, as seven thrilling disciplines take the arena by storm, such as barrel racing, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, bareback, and breakaway roping. Every event showcases incredible skill, grit, and heart, making this rodeo one of the most prestigious in the world.
