Camp Verde Arena Association: The Host with the Most!

Welcoming rodeo fans from far and wide, the Camp Verde Arena Association is proud to play host to the Turquoise Circuit Finals since 2021. A homegrown 501-C3 Non-Profit organization, the CVAA consists of 12 dedicated and hardworking volunteers who contribute countless hours to creating the best possible experiences for those who drive through their arena gates. While preserving Camp Verde’s western heritage, the CVAA is a strong purveyor of community excellence; fostering an environment to promote economic viability, increase recreation opportunities for community members of all ages and abilities, encouraging livestock and equine education amongst community youth, promoting high school, youth, and junior rodeo activities, and increase involvement in community engagement opportunities such as special events, parades, rodeos, and more.

“Camp Verde and the rest of the Verde Valley is historically based on Western tradition and roots. Western roots run deep in Camp Verde, and many families in our community are still ranching, farming, and raising animals. Camp Verde Arena Association built this facility hoping to bring back our Western Roots to where they began.” -Mary Phelps, President of Camp Verde Arena Association (CVAA)

The Rodeo: PRCA Fun in the Southwest

The Turquoise Circuit is one of many PRCA circuits that allow contestants to compete in and advance to a national championship as a branch of the PRCA. Composed of rodeos in Arizona and New Mexico, local rodeo athletes who call the desert home will compete in nearly 20 rodeos across the two states throughout the Turquoise Circuit season. By hosting circuit rodeos, the PRCA allows cowboys and cowgirls easier and more affordable transportation between rodeos, a more relaxed schedule, and more convenience while competing. Through the circuit path, talented rodeo “weekend warriors” have the convenience and freedom to compete, all while tending to life’s many responsibilities such as 9-5s and families. The action all comes to a head at the Turquoise Circuit finals in Camp Verde, Arizona on November 1st and 2nd.
