The Arroyo Grille at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa offers something to please all palates. Arroyo Grille serves up mouth-watering choices and launches a new fall menu starting October 29. “Our upcoming menu will feature some classic flavor profiles – some familiar to the area and some from my personal background,” says head chef Neil Magbanua. He was born in the Philippines and raised in Michigan, and he brought 20 years of culinary experience to Arroyo Grille. “This menu has become more technically challenging,” he adds, “our culinary team was looking for new challenges.”  Visit their website http://www.akchinsoutherndunes.com/arroyo-grille.html to see what wonderful fall specials they will be creating.

To recognize the city of Maricopa’s history in agriculture and pecan farming, the Arroyo Grille is one of a handful of local restaurants offering specials through October 24 during the Pecan Pride Celebration. The Arroyo Grille has created a pecan-inspired menu, including pecan-crusted cod, smoked pork loin with pecan sweet potato puree and pecan pork jus, as well as a chicken sandwich topped with pecans, sundried cherries, chevre, and pecan cider vinaigrette. The Pecan Festival salad combines greens with toasted pecans, onions, carrots, apples, and pecan cider vinaigrette dressing. Also the apple pecan bread pudding dessert comes a la mode with caramel sauce making it the ultimate dessert choice.

For football fans, the Arroyo Grille is the place to watch games while enjoying food and beverages. Arroyo Grille offers NFL Sunday Ticket games shown on large-screen TVs—seven inside and one outside. All-day Sunday Fun Day drink specials include $1 off draft beer, $5 well drinks, and $5 wine by the glass (restrictions apply).

Arroyo Grille is open daily for breakfast and lunch and every Wednesday through Sunday for dinner. Weekly dinner specials include the Wednesday Fish Fry, Burger & Beer on Thursday, Prime Rib on Friday, and Chef’s Choice Saturdays. The good thing is, the Chef takes advantage of the local produce and the entrees may change a bit to ensure fresh ingredients.

You must have breakfast because the choices include classics, like omelets, pancakes and steak, and eggs, along with Troon Fit choices under 500 calories. The lunch menu serves up the relative dishes like sandwiches, burgers and wings, with regularly changing lunch specials.

If you bring the kids, they won’t be disappointed—the Arroyo Grille kid’s menu offers their favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “Like” the Arroyo Grille Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/AkChinSouthernDunes, to receive updates on lunch specials and other special dining events. Now, her Western adventures with CLN have her diving into the rugged automotive scene, exploring the trucks and rigs cowboys rely on for work, home, and play, a niche where grit meets horsepower. She works at Raising Special Kids, a nonprofit resource center for families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Carolyn also volunteers with the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Carolyn believes that everyone has a story, and she loves connecting with others to hear their stories.
