Rodeo is a western tradition, and residents of Cave Creek have been enjoying local festivities with the Cave Creek Fiesta Days Rodeo since 1977.
This is a non-profit event that is designed to promote and celebrate the tradition of rodeo and the historic spirit of the west in grand fashion.
The entire event is organized by a rodeo committee, which includes six individuals on the CCPR Board of Directors. The Cave Creek Fiesta Days Rodeo ran from March 27th through March 29th this year at the Cave Creek Memorial Arena located at 24th Street and Carefree Highway. The rodeo weekend included three full PRCA-sanctioned rodeo events with a big Rodeo Dance that followed the Saturday night performance. The Fiesta Days Kickoff Celebration was the weekend prior to Rodeo weekend and included the Cave Creek Fiesta Days Historic Parade, Kid’s Mutton Bustin’ and a Kickoff Dance. Over both weekends, there was fun-filled events that were ideal for families and friends to attend together. New festivities were planned each day of the event, as this is an event that you will want to attend for all three days in order to take in all that it offers when the rodeo rolls around next year.
