Chancey Williams is back at it again, Releasing the new album “3rd Street” this Friday May 22nd. Fresh off of a massive 2019, and a couple 2020 RMCMA awards. This album, the bands 5th, is arguably their best work to date. The Wyoming based band has already released and played live, multiple singles set to be featured on the album.
If you’ve been to a rodeo or PBR event dating back to mid-2019, you’ve probably heard a few of these songs being played throughout the performance. “The World Needs More Cowboys” the first single from this album, released in 2019 is an anthem that exemplifies the people of the American West. Playing an opening ceremony at the WNFR has become a bit of a tradition for the band, debuting the single “Fastest Gun in Town” at the 2019 edition. The song’s music video features actual PRCA footage and is sure to be loved by any rodeo fan.
The beautifully written ballad “Wyoming Wind” won Song of the Year at the 2020 RMCMA’s. Top to bottom the album doesn’t have a bad song on it. “Let it Go” “Outlaws” and “One More For the Road” are all fantastic songs. Covering the classic “Meet Me in Montana” this Duet featuring Brooke Latka is absolutely killer.
My personal favorite song on the album is “College” featuring Kevin Fowler. Between its hilarious lyrics and 90’s vibes. This party throwback is extremely relatable to anyone who’s stepped foot on a university campus. Sure to make you smile, this banger makes my shortlist of all-time Chancey songs.
Overall this album is an absolute home run. Make sure you download it beginning May 22nd. For a few laughs and the latest news regarding 2020 shows, follow the band on Facebook and Instagram.
