On the list of country artists that I genuinely root for, Chancey Williams is near the top. Not many people in country music grind out a meaningful and successful career, while doing everything their way. Even fewer have as much fun doing it, or are as good of a person, as Chancey.
For those unfamiliar with Chancey Williams, or his Younger Brothers Band. This rowdy bunch from Wyoming puts on a must see live show, and can play a cowboy song with the best of em. The whole band embodies the western lifestyle, and they throw a party like you’d expect from a former rodeo cowboy and a bunch of small town kids. This is one of the few bands I continually go out of my way to see, and highly recommend you do the same. The group’s antics also make for a great follow on all social media platforms!
The band has been working hard on a new album, previously releasing the singles “The World Needs More Cowboys” and “Wyoming Wind”.
This Fourth of July week I had the pleasure of Catching up with Chancey at the Greeley Stampede and discussing the most recent single “Tonight We’re Drinkin”.
To download “Tonight We’re Drinkin” or for more info on the band, and it’s upcoming shows check it out here.
