Where: Cheyenne, the state capital of Wyoming, located 90 miles north of Denver
When: July 20 through 29, 2018 – All Rodeos start at 1:00 PM with pre-shows at 12:15 PM .
Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo Events
BAREBACK RIDING – July 21 through 29 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM – 8 seconds, no saddle, rider holds on to the horses mane or a loose twisted rope while not touching the horse with his free hand.
SADDLE BRONC RIDING – rides a bucking horse using a saddle with free swinging stirrups. Rider must stay on for 8 seconds holding on to a single cotton rein and not touching the horse with his free hand.

BULLRIDING – Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24, from 8:00 to 11:00 PM – Thirty top PBR riders compete in the round, and 15 will compete in the championship round to get PBR world points.
STEER WRESTLING – July 21 through 29 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM – men try to wrestle a 600-pound steer to the ground. The Steer is given a 30-foot head start, the rider must catch up, get off the horse, grab the steer by its horns, and try to throw the steer down. The fastest time wins.

TEAM ROPING – Two ropers are needed because of the size of the animal. The Steer is given the head start, and the cowboys have to catch up. One cowboy ropes the steer around its horns while the other ropes the legs. Quickest time wins.
WOMEN’S BARREL RACING – for women on horseback, showing teamwork between rider and horse. Any barrel knocked over adds a five-second penalty to the time.
WILD HORSE RACE – Teams of cowboys scramble to saddle and ride “wild horses.”
CHEYENNE FRONTIER NIGHTS

July 20 through 28 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM – Big names in musical entertainment at the Cheyenne Frontier Nights including Florida Georgia Line with special guest Michael Ray, Dierks Bentley with Kip Moore, Toby Keith with Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots and Ned LeDoux, Cole Swindell with Morgan Evans and Chase Rice, Charlie Daniels Band with Tracy Lawrence, Eric Church with Cam, and Nickelback with Pop Evil.

MILITARY MONDAY • JULY 23 – FREE C Stand rodeo ticket and FREE gate admission.
CHEYENNE/LARAMIE COUNTY DAY • JULY 25 – County residents with a valid ID get July 26 rodeo tickets for B and C Stand at half price and FREE gate admission.
YOUTH RODEO DISCOUNT – Buy adult ticket at full price, and a C Stand children’s ticket is FREE or B Stand half price.
SENIOR DISCOUNT – $3.00 off per rodeo ticket
