CLN 12-017: CLN Rocks The JC Mortensen Miniature Bull Invitational 2012

Written by

CLN was thrilled to film one of the most captivating Miniature Bull Riding event ever!  From J.C. Mortensen to Dakota Madsen, watch as the future of the Professional Bull Riders tear this event up!

The  J.C. Mortensen Invitational Miniature Bull Riding and Bucky’s Casino Mile High Professional Bull Riding (PBR) event took place  in Prescott Valley, AZ, April 27th and 28th at Tim’s Toyota Center, which is a multipurpose facility seating 5,100.  The event was truly a stampede of young bull riders.  J.C. Mortensen is one of the bull riders who rode in this event.  When J.C. was asked who were his favorite bull riders, he replied,  “My Dad, Judd Mortensen and J.B. Mauney“.
The Bucky’s Casino Mile High PBR event showcased some of the most promising rising stars of the PBR, riding alongside fan favorites and veterans, as all the competitors face-off against the most famous bucking bulls in the industry.
The Touring Pro Division offer upcoming bull riders the opportunity to compete in PBR sanctioned events, while earning money to qualify for the PBR’s elite Built Ford Tough World Finals presented by Wrangler.
Young bull riders came from all over the United States to participate in this new event for younger bull riders.  The young cowboys are very focused on this sport and look up to the Professional Bull Riders as mentors and heroes of the sport.

CLN was fortunate to interview a number of miniature bull riders, including Dakota Madsen, Jake Wells, Tuff Arajuo, Wyatt Wells, and Christan Kennard.  Dakota Madsen said “I look up to all of the PBR riders as they help each one us cowboys grow up and become outstanding bull riders”.
We, at the CLN family, “salute” not only the miniature bull riders, but their parents and families who support them in this sport which exhibits honorable character, respect and reverence for life as a whole.
Hats off to Judd Leffew, Maegan Dail and Andrea Lund for their great work with these miniature bull riders.  We appreciate all that you do for CLN,  thank you!
How about Nathan Dean and the Damn Band, who provided the their song “I do it my way” for this video.

Music Spotlight:  Nathan Dean & The Damn Band

Featured Song: I Do It My Way
From the Album:
After Party

There have been many attempts to describe Nathan Dean & The Damn Band’s sound.  Ranging from tight, to original, to country with a blues twist, to “the best live band I’ve heard in this venue in 10 years.”   But, the most common description is the one that makes them stand out more than a lot of artists.  “The most laid back, fun loving group of guys that play our establishment.”
