CLN 12-29: CLN at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo 2012

Whether you are joining the road trip with the CLN crew on Highway 25 by viewing this video (Part 1 of 3), or if you already attended the 2012 Cheyenne Frontier Days and you are looking to relive those amazing moments, you will most likely be finding yourself in total astonishment after viewing what all went down during the “Daddy of Em All.”  So put on your favorite pair of Wrangler Jeans and Justin Boots as we embark on this incredible journey to the Frontier Days Rodeo Grounds and be sure to stop in at the two Boot Barn locations and “The Wrangler” store in Cheyenne to get the latest and greatest Western wear.

For ten remarkable days the beautiful city of Cheyenne, Wyoming, experiences the biggest crowd of cowboys and cowgirls at the Daddy of Em’ All during the end of the month of July every year. Unlike previous years in Cheyenne for the Frontier Days, the rodeo grounds experienced the heat this year instead of extremely rainy weather as it did in previous years. Nonetheless, the weather wasn’t the only thing that was hot at this extravagant rodeo, after all the Pro Rodeo Queen’s and their beautiful horses displayed their exquisiteness while dazzling the massive audience during the Frontier Days Rodeo.

Many hard working cowboys and cowgirls from across the nation traveled great distances to arrive to Cheyenne and sacrificed a lot to get there with their rigs, horse trailers, cars, trucks, mini vans, SUV’s, as well as other various forms of transportation in order to compete at the Daddy of Em’ All. After all, it isn’t cheap to commute long distances and pay to enter the competition, especially because these brave participants are paying out of their own pocket so that they can have the opportunity to compete against the best of the best in this very competitive and extremely dangerous rodeo. Certainly every single participant competing in these events are undeniably grateful for the Justin Boots Sports Medicine Program, specifically because when an injury occurs during the rodeo the Sportsmedicine Team is there ready to attend to these brave individuals without hesitation.

The mindset here is that if you are going to participate in the rodeo, at some point, you are going to get hurt in some way or another, whether it is a minor or serious injury. Thus, the Justin Sports medicine Team and the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund give these participating men and women the assurance that Justin’s Sportsmedicine Team and their responsive medical assistance will give them the attention they need if an unfortunate accident occurs. And to top it all off, through the kindness of their hearts, the Justin Sports medicine Team does all of this for free.
In addition, there is even more that goes into the Daddy of Em’ All that takes place behind the scenes by a full-time staff and a large community of volunteers in order to make this legendary rodeo one of the best event’s in America. As a matter of fact, the hundreds of volunteers that make this sacrifice is singlehandedly the most important reason that the Cheyenne Frontier Days is the prominent rodeo that it is, simply because they refuse to settle for anything less than the very best. But this begs the question, why do these volunteer’s make this sacrifice day in and day out without pay? Well folks, these hard working, and extremely kind men and women do this because it is the only way for this rodeo to be a complete success. As a result, their combined effort to complete a wide-ranging amount of tasks is what puts gasoline on the fire. In fact their motto is, “It’s the Cheyenne thing to do.” With this being said, the CLN team and the tens of thousands of people that attend the rodeo each year cannot thank these volunteers enough for everything they do for the Frontier Days and for the city of Cheyenne.
Overall, the 2012 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo was the most entertaining and all-around positive encounter that the CLN team has ever experienced.
