CLN Insider: Laura Walsh Music

Written by

In the last two years, Arizona native turned Nashville recording artist, Laura Walsh has been working hard to make a name for herself. Prior to making the move to Tennessee in 2018, she had tried moving for eight years before that, with the timing never feeling right to pull the trigger. In the first few months of being in Nashville, Laura took the time to truly experience the city and everything it has to offer. One day while at Whiskey Row Nashville, she ran into a familiar face from back home. Her friend put her in touch with the house band at the famous bar, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. She ended up on stage singing with them and from there, one thing led to another. Laura ended up performing around Nashville at the local bars, eventually playing at Tin Roof, where she met her now producer.

Laura recalls that playing on Broadway Street was like boot camp. “I dove in and found myself performing two 4 hour shows back to back, which is nothing I ever thought I could do, but it forced me to push myself to keep up with the level of musicians that perform regularly. That’s how I’ve met so many instrumental people in my career. Nashville is an international location for music lovers. It’s a true community.” She notes that if she had listened to all the opinions she heard when she first got there, she would not have made the connections she did and wouldn’t be where she is now.

Going with the flow of all Nashville offers, Walsh is currently working on singles and focusing on writing. Eventually she’d like to compile all of her work into her next album, but she’s not putting any pressure on herself to move that direction in a hurry. Laura’s most recent work, recently released on all major music platforms, Tease is a different side of her music that we haven’t seen a lot of in the past. With a more edgy pop/country style, Walsh expresses herself in the sultry single. Be sure to follow Laura Walsh on her Website, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube!
