We are excited to bring back this great weekly feature for anything and everything country music! This week, we were excited to hear that our friend Corb Lund has released a new song and video! But first, for those of you just tuning in, here’s a little more about Corb.
Corb Lund is a Canadian Country singer-songwriter from Taber, Alberta, Canada. He has released nine albums in total, plus his latest single! Lund tours regularly in Canada, the United States, and Australia, and has received several awards in Canada and abroad. A few years back, our friend Britt did a pretty casual interview with Corb about his music making process and this was his response,
“I write songs slowly. Some guys sit on it one afternoon I just they’re very slow. It’s a very slow process for me. So I had the verse and chorus for years and I couldn’t. I was stumped. And then Hayes and I were just drinking beer when I showed him, and he said well we just do this. and I was like, yeah, why don’t I just do that, (chuckling) and then we finished it in an hour.” – Corb Lund
Corb has been busy during this Covid downtime. Not only has he released this new song, but he also re-cut one of his old songs and updated his 2012 album, “Cabin Fever”. Here’s what his website says about it,
AVAILABLE NOW! Some of you may remember my old song “The Case of the Wine Soaked Preacher” from the o-o-old days. While I was in making Cabin Fever, we re-cut it and updated it with the band. It’s on the deluxe version of Cabin Fever available online today, along with 14 acoustic songs and another B-side called “R-E-G-R-E-T”. While we’re all hunkered down, may as well have something to listen to. Don’t ever say I never did nuthin’ for ya! Hope it helps you weather the storm, thanks as always for listening folks.
Now to get to the good stuff! Who is ready for new Corb Lund music? Well wait no longer because his new single, “Horse Poor” just dropped and you can listen to it below!
