WNFR Round 9 Winners
Congratulations to all of the Round Winners for the ninth night of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo!
Bareback Riding: Jake Brown
This is Jake’s first round win here at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. He scored 89.5 points on Blessed Assurance by J Bar J. This puts Jake 11 in the overall world standings. As far as who is going to win it all tonight, we are pretty sure that Clayton Biglow has this year in the bag. Let us know what you think!
Steer Wrestling: Ty Erickson
Even though this is his first-round win, Ty is still sitting number one in the world standings. With only about 20K between him and J.D. Struxness, it could be anyone’s game tonight. This is one prediction that we aren’t sure about!
Team Roping: Kaleb Driggers & Junior Noguiera
This is Kaleb and Junior’s second round win so far at the NFR which puts Kaleb in the number 2 spot and Junior in the number spot in the World standings. Once again, this is such a tight race, there is only about a 10K difference in the top three in the world and one win (or loss) could change it all.
Tie-Down Roping: Marty Yates
As of right now, Marty is third in the World Standings, but with only a few thousand dollars between him and the number spot, anyone could win it. We are going to throw Shane Hanchey’s name in the hat to take it all home. He has had a pretty consistent performance and we can see him swooping back in for the 10th performance here at the NFR and winning it all.
Saddle Bronc: Zeke Thurston
With a score of 91 on Vold Rodeo’s horse, Sun Glow. Zeke has solidified his place in the number one spot. Zeke is going to be your Saddle Bronc Rider of the Year, just wait!
Barrel Racing: Stevi Hillman
This will be the first round win for Stevi with a time of 13.53.
Bull Riding: Boudreaux Campbell
Boudreaux was able to snag a 91 on Goofy by Bar T Rodeo. This is Boudreaux’s second round win here at the WNFR, which puts him number two in the world. This is one event where the winner is clear even before the last bull bucks. Sage Kimzey has another Bull Rider of the Year in his pocket after tonight.
A huge congratulations to all the winners from last night’s performance, we can’t wait to see what everyone brings to the table for the final night here at the WNFR. See y’all there!
