December 11th, 2020 – Arlington, Texas – Wrangler NFR 2020
The competition is really heating up here at the Wrangler NFR 2020! The eighth performance of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Arlington, Texas has come and gone but the cowboys and cowgirls are working harder than ever. The Junior World Finals, presented by YETI, will be held in the Wrangler Rodeo Arena, inside the Cowtown Coliseum, Dec. 3rd-12th. Over 800 young contestants are competing in the same rodeo events that their professional counterparts are. You can catch the action every day from 7:30 a.m. — 2:45 p.m. in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Yesterday, we watched Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down and Team Roping 17 and Under #10.5 Finals, today you can catch the finals for Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down and Team Roping 17 and Under #10.5. Dec. 8th-12th live from 3:30 pm-4 pm daily, Cowtown Coliseum in the Fort Worth Stockyards will host the Bullfighters Only Championship. The world’s top freestyle bullfighter faces off with the best American fighting bulls out there. Only one athlete can be crowned the 2020 BFO World Champion and claim his share of over $150,000 in prize money, who will take the number one spot? Tickets can be purchased on-site for this event.
The party doesn’t stop after the rodeo ends. Our friends over at Hooey are offering free live music and viewing parties every night from 5:00 p.m. — 12 a.m in the Cowtown Coliseum. This event will be hosted by Anthony Lucia, featuring a 30-foot viewing screen. Arrive in style and grab a photo on the Cavender’s Turquoise Carpet. Once inside, hang out down on the arena dirt or enjoy multiple VIP viewing options.
It wouldn’t be the NFR without a trip to Cowboy Christmas. With over 300 exhibitors the shopping and entertainment options have something for everyone. Cowboy Christmas is free admission and is open all ten days. There are several new programming elements this year on our Rodeo Live Stage presented by RMEF, so make sure to check out the schedule. Kansas cowboy Jess Pope captures his first round win of the Wrangler NFR 2020 with an 89 point ride on Xplosive Skies.
Blake Knowles gets the job done in Round 8 with a 3.6 second score to win Round 8 of the Wrangler NFR 2020.
Colby Lovell and Paul Eaves post a 4.3 second run for the Round 8 win.
Texas cowboy Westyn Hughes stepped up with a swift run tonight to take the round with a 7.4 second run for the Round 8 win.
The fourth win for the Utah cowboy, he scored an 88 on American Hat’s Positive Times.
Hailey Kinsel and Sister set a new record on the standard pattern with a 16.56 second run for her fourth round win of the Wrangler NFR 2020.
Roscoe Jarboe puts up 89.5 points on Magic Poison and Ty Wallace was right there with him on a re-ride at the end of the night for his share of the round win!
