Brit West

The Cowboy Lifestyle Network loves Brit West! Brittain of Brit West is not your average cowgirl. Brit West is a company and the name of the Georgia native cowgirl who now resides on her ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, doing what she does best: being creative and helping others. She is a self-taught artist and business woman whose classic Western ideas and designs encompass everything fashionable, from hats, to jewelry, on down to the boots.
As a previously hard working rancher and outfitter who left the television and film industry to pursue her dreams and fulfill her purpose, Brit understands the value of life and the rare opportunity to start over and know you are on the right path. After two bad accidents, one that broke Brit’s neck when a hitching tail hit her in the head, and another where she fell off a horse and broke her hip and back, Brit was forced to put the ranching days aside and reinvent her dream. She began working for a renowned custom cowboy hat maker, Kevin O’Farrell, and from there her creative visualizations for western fashion began with an idea to put a band of vintage leather around a hat, along with a chunk of turquoise on the side. Since then, the rest is history!
Now famous for hand-crafted, gem-quality turquoise stones showcased on vintage leather from the 1800’s to 1950’s, and offset by sterling silver, Brit West is the place to shop for one-of-a-kind, first-class, cowgirl fashion. Repurposed Old West leather, hunted down at ranches and saddle shops by the artist herself, is the back drop for Brit’s turquoise cuffs, hatbands, and belts.
With hours of reclaiming, cleaning, conditioning, skiving, sanding, and sealing that go into her modern day reinventions of leathers, Brit is just as particular about the choices and the preparations of the stones used in her pieces. One can rest assure that these gems were also hand-picked by the artist and remain consistent with the finest expectations that Brit West is known for. She designs and creates 90 percent of the product Brit West carries, including her artisan, museum-quality jewelry that proves to be a wearable investment that can be passed down for generations to come (prices range from $98 to $3000).
Are there any cowgirls out there looking to feel beautiful from head to toe? Shop www.britwest.net today, or contact Brit personally for a styling session by appointment. You can also catch Brit West at one of the various art and Western shows she attends every year. Stay updated by following her on the Brit West Facebook Page. Thank you Brit West for being a positive addition to the Cowboy Lifestyle Network!
