But before all the fame and glory of being a rodeo rockstar, Trevor was born in 1976 in Amarillo, Texas to Jimmy and Glenda Brazile, both of whom rode themselves. Brazile began roping at a young age, and eventually earning a scholarship for his rodeo skills. Yet it was in 1996 when he joined the PRCA, where he would establish himself as one of the greatest of all time.
It didn’t take long, as Brazile had already snatched himself an all around title in 2001 with his overwhelming ability in steer, team, and tie-down roping. He didn’t end there though, as he went on to conquer rodeo with six more all-around titles through 2009. To cement his legendary name even further, he is one of three cowboys to win more than one triple crown, his first coming after a 24 year drought in the rodeo world.
The captivating cowboy also possesses a few records to his name, one of which being for his $507,921 take during just one season. In one event alone, Brazile pulled a whopping $211,509 at NFR, establishing another record to his famous track record. At 38 years old, Trevor is still hungry for more as he prepares for this year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas Nevada. When it comes to tie down roping at NFR, he’s qualified for over a dozen years straight.

Although, he may compete in several associations, Trevor Brazile even helped create one. The Elite Riders Association was founded by him and dozens of more world champs, who looked to create a bigger and better regular season for riders. Within this league, only the best of the best ride, which is no wonder why Brazile looked to hop on it’s train.
As Trevor gears up to continue his greatness, be sure to check back here at Cowboy Lifestyle Network for all news and events related to him including the Pro Rodeo Circuit and NFR.

Peter Varlet

Peter Varlet’s the cowboy critic you love to hate, until he’s right. Born during a thunderstorm in 1972 in Bismarck, North Dakota, he grew up watching his WWII vet dad battle to save their farm from corporate claws. Now, Peter’s the unapologetic voice of Western culture, with a historian’s grip on America’s past, acknowledging both its heroes and hypocrites. His truth to power articles are a no-holds-barred zone for rodeo reviews, cowboy movie takedowns, and ranching tricks that work. He’ll tell you why your country singer’s a fraud and how to fix a fence with only baling wire and spite. Peter despises corporate factory farms taking over and cherishes the DIY grit of real Americans. Politically correct? Nope. Trustworthy? Damn straight. He’s saving the West, one brutal truth at a time.
