Hosted by the Ak-Chin Indian Community, the 2019 Masik Tas Celebration in December has fun events for all.

“Accordion King” Ramon Ayala performs in September

Ramon Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte Tickets are $25 per person

On Saturday night, don’t miss Grammy Award winning Ramon Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte on the main stage starting at 7 p.m.! One of the most recognized and best-selling accordionists, Ayala has recorded more than 113 albums, with record sales of approximately 750,000 units per year. The show happens at Ak-Chin Circle field, just North of the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle — get comfortable and bring blankets or low-back lawn chairs. All ages are welcome to enjoy the show and dance the night away! Refreshment stands will be available. After the show, fireworks will light up the night sky starting at 10 p.m. It’ll be a magnificent night for all!

Masik Tas Rodeo

Rodeo Events Friday 8 am & 4 pm, Saturday at Noon, Sunday at Noon

Tickets are $25 per person, sold online or at the temporary ticket box office located on Ak-Chin Circle Field on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. (cash only). Ayala performed to a sold-out crowd at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle in September 2018, so get your tickets early!

All You Can Ride For Only $10 per Person

All-you-can-ride wristbands are available for just $10

The Masik Tas Carnival will be held December 13-15, with fun for the entire family! Last year, thousands of people came out to enjoy this event. Carnival rides, a fun zone, and a petting zoo add to the day. All-you-can-ride wristbands are available for just $10 daily, cash only. Food vendors are sure to offer delicious items — try a fry bread taco or fry bread with honey and powdered sugar, along with favorites like hamburgers, hot dogs, and fried goodies. Look for lots of sweet treats, too!

Arts and crafts vendors will sell unique items — last year’s wares included clothing, crocheted blankets, Native American paintings, dream catchers, and more.

Ak-Chin Indian Community Masik Tas Carnival offers fun for all

While at the carnival, you can enjoy great entertainment as well! On Friday night, the main stage features Vaila Entertainment from 6-10 p.m. on Ak-Chin Circle Field. The mini stage offers cultural performances on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

For late night fun, The Luxe Lounge at UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle is hosting after-hours entertainment on Friday and Saturday night after the Masik Tas festivities. Guests age 21 and older are welcome to go upstairs to the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle to enjoy!

The Masik Tas, or “birthday” celebration, commemorates the Ak-Chin Indian Community’s formal recognition with the U.S. government. Events are open to all. Come on out, have a great time, and learn more about the Ak-Chin Indian Community!
